Galeria showcases artworks available for sale from The Factory.
The display is on view from 2 March to 9 May 2018. In the glass box area, we showcase three photographic ‘diptychs’ ‘The Things That Are Living Are Dead’ (2017) exhibited in ‘Empty Forest’, in which Tuấn Andrew Nguyễn captures and examines the images of animals in social life. In the rear first floor, ‘Slaughterhouse #8’ (2016) by Nguyễn Văn Đủ questions the relation between slaughtering, meat-eating habit and violence, in contrast to the romantic and fictional of the characters in silk painting series ‘Beauté Faux’(2016) by Trần Nguyễn Trung Tín. Both artists have been featured in the exhibition ‘The New Possibilities of Painting‘. In addition, Lê Hoàng Bích Phượng combines new ideas of the ethereal correlation of karma in Buddhist ideology with Vietnamese traditional porcelain techniques in her artwork ‘Black Hole‘ (2015), previously exhibited in her solo ‘Chain’.
The Factory operates as a social enterprise, whereby all profit from sale of art and business on the property supports the running costs of its art-related programs. For more information, please contact the reception desk or call the hotline: +84 (0) 283 744 2589.
