CURATORIAL TOUR WITH BILL NGUYỄN

  • This event has passed.

Speaker: Bill Nguyễn
Date: 20 January 2019
Time: 4 – 6pm
Language: Vietnamese only

What makes this exhibition a different visual experience? Throughout the space, did you see the many notes and questions we leave for you – our audience – to explore? Seeking your active participation, we ask you to give time to the still and moving image artworks, and the texts that accompany them. And what better way to do so than with one of the curators of the exhibition – Bill Nguyễn, who will be giving a tour on 20 Jan! ‘We’re in this, together’ is also The Factory’s first-ever international collaboration, looking at the life of certain working class communities in Vietnam and Indonesia. So what does it mean to introduce the story of our geographical neighbor to Saigon? What can we learn about their context that could help us better deal with ours? Attend the tour, ask questions, continue the discussion!

This event is part of the public programs satelliting ‘We’re in this, together’, the resulting exhibition as part of the first edition of ‘Pollination’, a program driven by the need to create critically active and supportive artist-curator-community networks within Southeast Asia. Initiated by The Factory, this inaugural edition is co-developed and co-sponsored, with SAM Fund for Arts and Ecology (Indonesia).

To ensure the event’s quality, we only accept 30 guests. Please register here to secure your participation.
