He graduated from Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts University in 1993 and is currently living and working in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. His works of art have been featured in the solo exhibition Kamikaze/One Night Show, PØST, USA (2013); the inaugural launches of XEM (2013-2017); and group exhibitions such as In the shadow of appearances at Galerie Quynh, Vietnam (2014); Freedom is the motorbike at Long Beach City College Art Gallery, USA (2013); Vietnam Voices at Tobin Ohashi Gallery, Japan (2011). Being a co-founder of the visual experiment publication XEM, Nguyen Tranh Truc considers the book as a playground for artistic experimentation, or the newspaper of five people conversing with one another that deliberately adopts images as a language to record ideas and interact with other people.
