GLASS BOX EDITION 2 ‘DRAWING TIME THROUGH THE FIGURE’ PRIVATE PREVIEW
On the evening of 22 May, a private preview for Glass Box Edition 2 ‘Drawing time through the figure: Figure drawing of two eras’ took place at The Factory Contemporary Arts Centre, in collaboration with VIN Gallery and Galerie Quynh, with the attendance of collectors, authors and individuals who hold special interest in Vietnamese contemporary art.
This exclusive evening invited collector Adrian Jones to share his motivations for collecting the fine art of drawing – a genre of strength in his ‘Witness Collection’. (www.witnesscolletion.com | www.vietnamtheartofwar.com).
Following the preview, a dinner was hosted by Tom Tandio, Art Fair Director, Art Jakarta. The evening was a huge success, with guests (established and emerging interest in contemporary art) stating they would like to see these kinds of collaborative gatherings occur again, with many consequently saying they would try to attend Art Jakarta in late August, 2019.
The evening was the first of what The Factory hopes will be many more collaborations in the future – with the common aim to help better network and encourage support for contemporary art in Vietnam.
The Factory would like to thank Red Apron Vietnam for sponsoring the preview with their quality wine.
