The ‘Appreciating Art through Writing’ provides insights and shares experiences of different ways that the use of language and the act of writing can contribute to the understanding, appreciation and interpretation of art. This workshop is designed for participants with specific interest in art and culture and a strong desire to express and communicate their viewing experience through writing, yet are hesitant to do so. In the workshop, the participants will have an opportunity to exchange their ideas in confident and inspiring manners, focus on observing the happenings inside themselves and in the outside world, make deliberate choices regarding form and structure that is consistent with the content, choose the right words and avoid rambling and clichéd.
After the workshop, you will be equipped with a questionnaire for casual interviews, suggested writing forms and a group of art enthusiasts to be friends with.
