b.1989, Ho Chi Minh City Born in Ha Tinh and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts in 2015, for Lam, art is a need and an act that brings him closer to a ‘universal’ beauty and self-expression. Working predominantly in oil painting, Thế Lãm practices art to help him express his concerns about society today, focusing on the relationship between humanity and its habitat, how humans have changed and faced social malady, such as consumerism, cultural encroachment, and modern psychological trauma. His first exhibition was Human and Animal (2016), a group exhibition at the Fine Arts Association, Ho Chi Minh City.
