CIMAM WELCOME PARTY 2017
In the evening of 8 November 2017, The Factory Contemporary Arts Centre had welcomed the members of CIMAM (International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art), the most important organisation representing and advancing the professional interests of the modern and contemporary art museum sector, with over 500 members from 85 countries comprising museum directors, curators and museum professionals.
An important contribution to the field is CIMAM’s Annual Conference, where delegates from all over the world gather to discuss current museological and curatorial concerns. The 2017 conference is taking place at the National Gallery Singapore (10-12 Nov), and has a special focus on Southeast Asia. This is the first time the conference is held in the region. This event, co-hosted by The Factory and the National Gallery, Singapore, forms part of a Pre Conference Tour (08-09 Nov) for CIMAM delegates to gain a better understanding of the contexts, richness and diversity of art ecologies in Southeast Asia.
Below is some moments from the dinner, hosted at The Factory, before the conference day in Singapore:
