Nguyễn Duy Thành is considered as one of Hanoi’s best emerging dancers, having pursued his career for over 16 years. He is the first Vietnamese artist to have successfully merged different styles of dance: from Hip-hop and contemporary, to experimental combined with influences from traditional dances from around Asia. Uniquely different, Duy Thành often distorts his body, movements and expressions, to break away from conventions, and to take down the barrier between stage, audience and performer. He has collaborated and performed with various renowned local and international artists; and has won several awards in Hip-hop and contemporary dance in Asia and around the world.
