Đặng Thành Long established himself as one of Vietnam’s first book curators since his co-founding of Saigon Artbook in 2013 as a non-profit organization, developing the project into the most successful local independent publisher of contemporary artbooks. More than 3,500 books have been produced, each crafted from different materials and brought to life through various experimental printing techniques. Under the banner of Saigon Artbook Long has also curated shows for TEDxNguyenHueStreet & TeamX HCMC Open Innovation, hosted Saigon street art festival ‘Concrete Canvases’, and collaborated with the Vietnam Artists’ Book Project to present self-published books from Vietnamese artists at the Singapore Art Book Fair 2016-2017 and Bangkok Art Book Fair 2017. Recently he opened inpages, the first bookstore focusing primarily on art books in Vietnam.
