Cao Hoàng Long

b. 1990, Ho Chi Minh City

A young and proactive art director and visual artist, Cao Hoàng Long belongs to a new generation of Vietnamese creatives who utilize new media such as video, sound and light, and the Internet, as their main artistic language. Since 2011, he has marked his artistic direction as a visual performance artist. His interest lies in the flexibility of time and space, as well as the differences between peoples’ online usage of emoticons and their portrayal of actual emotions in real life. In 2014, Long published Điiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii – a personal blog featuring works looking into such themes as secrets, memories and our connection with the universe.
