Nguyễn Thế Thanh is a renowned journalist and a member of the Board of Editors for Nguoi Do Thi (The Urbanist) Magazine. She was the Vice Manager of the Department of Culture, Sports, & Tourism in Ho Chi Minh City and a  member of the Executive Committee of the Women’s Union. From 1990 to now, she has always paid attention, participated, and supported the alternative art scene and cultural activities. She is well-respected by people from both inside and outside the art community.
