“SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT”, A GROUP EXHIBITION BY RECENT GRADUATES OF HO CHI MINH CITY FINE ARTS UNIVERSITY

On the evening of April 9, The Factory is pleased to feature the opening of the group exhibition titled ‘Same same but different’ by 12 alumni of HCMC Fine Arts University. According to the organizers, “Each of us has our own hidden corners and different points of view. What might be old to me is not necessarily old to others and vice versa. Therefore, the exhibition ‘Same same but different’ can be considered an experience of the internal dialogue within each artist.”

In this month-long exhibition, 12 young artists who pledge to continue their art practice will present a wide range of artworks from oil painting, lacquer, silk—media they are trained in school—to varying experimentations with installation art and digital painting.

Participating artists: Tèo Phạm, Đàm Thiệu Minh, Phạm Thế Vinh, Lưu Bá Lăng, Nguyễn Hoàng Nhân, Vương Thế Quân, Hoàng Thiện Phúc, Huỳnh Tấn Phát, Hoàng Bảo Trâm, Nguyễn Toàn Luật, Đặng Thị Bích Đào, Trân Lâm.

This exhibition is organized by graduate students featured in the show with support from The Factory. It will open to the public from April 9 to May 9, 2021, at WhiteSpace@The Factory.
