What does it take to earn the trust of a designer as a marketing professional? Why is this trust important and what exactly does it entail? Understanding a fashion designer’s passions, character, standards and needs is crucial to the success of a marketing manager/ designer relationship, one that Kien NG takes pride in his working relationship with Thuỷ Nguyễn, founder and designer of ‘Thuy Design House’. Since 2012, Kien has steered this growing fashion enterprise from family business to a nationally recognized brand with increasing footprint in overseas markets, responsible for increasing revenue, organizing fashion runway shows, including the management of strategic promotional partnerships and more. At this workshop, Kien will share his marketing experience as not only Marketing Manager of Thuy Design House, but also speaking from his role with Xuong Phim Mau Hong (movie studio) – a film production house of Thuỷ Nguyễn whose co-produced features, such as ‘Sai Gon, Anh Yeu Em’; ‘Me Chong’ & ‘Co Ba Sai Gon’ were also with costume designed by Thủy Nguyễn.

This workshop is organized in association with the exhibition ‘Thủy Nguyễn: An Everyday Dream’, on view at The Factory until February 6, 2021.
