Vũ Đức Trung graduated from Vietnam University of Fine Art (Master of traditional lacquer). For his entire career, he has been experimenting with natural lacquer, treating it as a sacred material to elaborate his ideas of fictional landscapes based on daily emotions and observations of his surroundings. Trung believes material and color can be understood differently, choosing to respect the nature of the material and rather than try to overpower (control) it, to listen and follow it.
