Nguyễn Xuân Khánh
b. 1948, Ho Chi Minh City Nguyễn Xuân Khánh was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and moved to Saigon in 1970. He started practicing photography in 1980 and became a freelance photographer. Currently, he is a member of Gia Định Photography Club. For many years teaching History of Photography at The Ho Chi Minh College of Theater and Cinema, Nguyễn Xuân Khánh is influenced from world famous photographers such as Robert Capa, Cartier-Bresson and David Seymour. His artworks are aesthetically inspired from different forms and textures of nature, and also looking at how human activities affect and change nature. In 2016, he had an exhibition ‘Les Chemins de Traverse’ at Idécaf and is currently working on his new series ‘Angkor of my dream’
