Born in 1957 in An Giang province (Vietnam), Bùi Hải Sơn graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Art in 1987. His works have been shown in various group exhibitions and residencies in Vietnam, Korea, Japan and are included in the collections of the Fine Art Museum in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Miyazaki (Japan) and in Beasan Park (Iksan, Korea). Bùi Hải Sơn’s often large-scale sculptures are an ode to the relentlessness and impermanence of the cycle of life.
