Bạch Mai

Bạch Mai (born in Saigon, grew up overseas) is fascinated by Vietnamese language, history and culture. Theatre is one of her greatest passions, both writing and performing on stage.  She has previously performed in ‘More Light’ in the title role (City Lit Rep Theatre Company, UK), Seneca’s ‘Trojan Women’ (City Lit Rep Theatre Company, UK) and ‘Othello’ (Tower Theatre Company, UK). Her short plays ‘A Soggy Plate of Madeleines’ was performed at the St. James Theatre, and ‘Seasons Greetings’ at the Southwark Playhouse in London. In 2020, her play ‘And All the Usual Things Were Said’ was long-listed by the BBC Writersroom’s ‘Drama Room’, and she was also long-listed for Penguin Random House’s ‘WriteNow 2020’ Programme.
