‘I dont understand where all this light comes from.’*
*quote from 3-channel moving image ‘Altitude of An Afternoon’
In the exhibition ‘site / shine / sight‘ by vn-a and artist Trương Quế Chi, light emanates from multiple sources at different speed and cycles, creating a loop of spectacles formed by moving image, objects and photographs.
In her talk on November 3rd, artist Trương Quế Chi and her guest speaker Lee Weng-Choy will be using other moving image works to openly discuss the elements of light, space and asymptotic abstract narration in the ‘site / shine / sight’ project.
Following this conversation, the workshop on November 4th moderated by Quế Chi will focus on intertwined histories, and the transition between the language of traditional cinematography, experimental film and video art, thus putting out a proposal introducing an approach to moving image.
This program will benefit artists, writers, journalists and students who are interested in moving image in the creative process. Proposed schedule:
3 November 2018,6 – 8pm: Talk about moving image with Trương Quế Chi and Lee Weng-Choy. No registration required.
