Trịnh Thu Trang is currently a lecturer at the Architecture University with many years of experience in graphic design and branding strategies. In addition, she is involved in non-governmental projects such as those of UNESCO, FHI, the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange. In 2013, after a chance to see Hang Trong painting by artisan Lê Đình Nghiên, she came up with the idea of ​​launching the project ‘The Vietnamese Colors of Hàng Trống Paintings’ (2015), by combining existing graphic design with the traditional materials of Vietnam, with the desire to apply folk motifs in contemporary design, and spread inspiration to the young. Up to now, she has organised three exhibitions of Hang Trong folk art, one in 2014, one in 2015 and the latest in 2018 in Hanoi which has received positive feedback from the professionals and brought about a new beginning to the line of Hang Trong folk paintings of Vietnam.
