For many centuries, light has played an important role in the creation, design, display and function of both the visual arts and architecture. From the ancient Greek temples to the Renaissance churches, in early human dwellings all the way to public spaces in this digital age, light remains both a medium and an undeniable source of inspiration. In this talk by Dr. Trần Văn Thành (of ASA Studios Lighting Design – www.asastudios.com), we will see how creations ‘Made of Light’ reflect the necessity of light in the practice of key master artists and architects. Furthermore, this is also a rare opportunity to hear more about current trends and emerging development in the art of lighting design in Vietnam.
