Quốc-Văn Ninh is a photographer who has a mixed heritage with Asian roots. Growing up in in Germany, he studied Integrated Design and graduated with a BA from the University of the Arts Bremen (Germany) in 2016. He was awarded with ‘gute aussichten – new german photography’ in 2016/2017 and nominated for the ING Unseen Talent Award 2017. Select exhibitions include: ‘gute aussichten — new german photography’ 2016/2017 (Landesmuseum Koblenz, Haus der Kulturgeschichte, Koblenz; Deichtorhallen House of Photography, Hamburg; NRW-Forum Düsseldorf, Düsseldorf, Germany; Goethe-Institut, Nicosia, Cyprus); ‘Upcoming Masters’ (Leica Gallery, Photokina, Cologne, Germany); ‘Conflict?’ (Markuskirche, Hannover, Germany); ‘Facing New Spaces’ (Designxport, Triennial of Photography, Hamburg, Germany). Quoc-Van Ninh works on independent projects, mainly in the field of photography and currently lives and works in Vietnam.
